Students were briefed to design a light for either a wall mounted, pendant or desk lamp; for an educational or work setting.
Each student was supplied with a range of LED components and a power supply, around which they are required to design a contemporary lighting fixture which will be appropriate in both form and lighting function for a commercial environment. Jon worked with the students for the duration of the project sharing his extensive specialist knowledge of the lighting design industry.
The top designers had their work exhibited at Surface Design Show 2016 in London, as part of the Spectral Lighting stand.
